The park of Bodo’s hill

From the top of the hill, the park opens up to the countryside.

The park holds the charm of a secret garden, luxuriant and dotted with centuries-old trees. Cypresses, elms, walnuts, mulberries and oaks, from which the very name of Sarcedo is derived – from querquetum, the Latin word for oak -, give life to infinite shades of green.

At the foot of the Villa, where the large fishpond is carved into the living rock, the ancient park guards a number of fruit trees and curious exotic plants. Beyond the boundaries of the property, where the land gently changes into slight ups and downs, small wooded clearings alternate with bucolic fields.
